A year ago, Pope Benedict’s historic visit to the UK launched a new departure for the Christian mission in the country. Many of us still harbour profound memories of the event, but how are we answering the Holy Father’s calls to action one year on? How are we contributing to the mission?

On his return to Rome, the Pope said his visit to the UK had given him “fresh wind for his sails”. It should be the same for us. As well as a legacy of enormous importance, we have been left a clear and exhilarating framework for action.
