To ensure the full participation of children in the celebration of Mass, two special Children’s Liturgy sessions are provided at the 10.00 am Sunday service. Children leave the assembly at the beginning of Mass to gather in the Lady Chapel and divide into two groups, the first being children too young to have made their First Holy Communion (ages 3-8), and the second children who have made their First Holy Communion (ages 8 upwards).  Each session is a celebration of the days' Liturgy of the Word, and is planned at a more appropriate level of understanding  for the children. The children re-join the assembly for the liturgy of the Eucharist.

Under the church’s safeguarding policy, all children should be registered in advance, and parents are welcome to join the sessions if the child is shy at first.
