Discussion Group
Established in 1970 the twelve members of the Discussion Group meet each month to discuss topics derived from scripture, encyclicals, current books and journalism.
In 2011 they purchased copies of The Case For God: What Religion Really Means by Karen Armstrong. By taking a chapter each month this will take them well into 2012, & from time to time include topical religious journalism from the press.
They use the material to explore and express their own journey in faith by raising the issues presented in the text. Coming, as they do, from a multiplicity of backgrounds this always produces lively discussion, as they share the experiences that reinforce their life in the parish and the church at large.
