St John Bosco Youth Group
The Youth Group is open to all former members of St Dominic Savio Primary School and for all children in the parish currently in Secondary School Years 7 to 8 (ages 11-13). It provides an informal setting for young people to meet and socialise, and plays an important support role when preparing them for Confirmation. The Group meets at the church centre every Friday between 7pm and 9 pm during term-time, and also organises outdoors activities - such as cinema trips, bowling and BBQs. The charge is £1.00 per meeting, plus the costs of any outside activity. The group is run by parents on a rota basis.

Youth Group Meetings
There is always loads to do at Youth Group. There is a pool table and table football or you can play on the wii or just sit and chat with friends. The tuck shop is always open and and in the summer term if the weather's nice you can go out into the garden. Each week at Youth Group a different activity is planned. It might be a quiz or competition, games in the garden or electric guitars. Sometimes there's even an extra treat like hotdogs or pizza.
Design a Web Page Competition
We had a competition to design a home page for our Youth Group and we had lots of excellent entries. The winning design was by Daisy Gibbs and she won a shopping voucher.

Summer BBQ
It was touch and go whether the weather would hold for the Youth Group BBQ on Sunday but the rain held off and the sun came out to help make it a really fun afternoon for everyone. The current year 6’s were invited along to get their first taste of Youth Group before they start in September and for the year 8’s it was farewell as they will be leaving at the end of July. They all enjoyed sausages and burgers and spent the afternoon playing games in the garden, playing on the Wii, and “singing” along to the karaoke machine.
Christmas Party
The Youth Group Christmas Party was a fun packed evening with party games and food followed by dancing to all the old (and some new!) Christmas favourite songs.
Sno Tubing Outing
It was a rainy Sunday November afternoon but that didnt stop the fun as 13 members of Youth Group took to the ski slopes at the John Nike Centre in Bracknell for an afternoon of Sno Tubing.
