Marriage

Preparation for the Sacrament of Marriage and the ongoing support of married couples is provided by the parish in collaboration with Marriage Care (formerly the Catholic Marriage Advisory Council). Couples are invited to attend short, locally-organised group courses, in which they and other couples are guided, without pressure, through an examination of their attitudes to, and hopes for, married life. Alternatively, they can attend parish-based “Focus” meetings, organised by a representative from Marriage Care.
​Unless there are exceptional circumstances, couples should give the priest a minimum of six months notice.
